Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Technical Account Manager (TAM) is to ensure that customers’ technical needs are met quickly and efficiently. The measurements of success for this role are customer satisfaction, retention, and utilization of Solo products and services. The TAM becomes a technical subject matter expert, and clearly communicates and educates customers on the Solo platform. Learns and understands the customer’s business needs and account preferences. Provides training and best practice recommendations to optimize the customer experience. Advocates for the customer’s needs and voices their challenges through internal channels. Updates and maintains accurate customer records using internal tools and programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical expert for SOLO products and services and provide support, expertise, and solutions. 
  • Manage the contract renewal for each account you have primary responsibility for. 
  • Gather both customer and internal issues and clearly communicate them to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Prepare and help present technical training to customers on how to more fully utilize Solo products service. 
  • Direct customers to SOLO product and service information and advocate for increased self-sufficiency. 
  • Develop strong working relationships both internally and externally through consistent and frequent communication. 
  • Work with the other Customer Success teams to smoothly and seamlessly implement the technical configuration for each customer.
  • Apply empathy and follow the Escalation Framework when working through Customer issues.
  • Ensure Customer information and data are maintained and accurate in Customer Success systems and tools.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of account management preferred
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office 
  • Understand new software tools and adapt to company and process changes quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Time management and ability to multitask well
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on humility and empathy
  • Care personally and challenge directly
  • Work hard and complete tasks on time or early
  • Solar experience preferred, not required

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $47K - $60K annually plus 10% annual variable
